All 10 of the etudes were written to fit on a low A marimba. Both parts can be played simultaneously on the same instrument. The book is versatile and can be used in many ways. Take a few of the etudes and perform them on a recital as a suite. An intermediate student and a teacher could work through all 10 etudes in order. Each etude has a unique sound and style making the collection enjoyable to play and listen to. Any etude can also be arranged for different combinations of mallet instruments.
